Hi Girls

Just wanted to get an idea of what day you girls had your embryo transfers with IVF / ICSI...and how many cells your embies had and what grade they were

I had a 2 day transfer with 3 embryos each with 2 cells only.. so feeling a bit negative as that seems low and she would not have put 3 back if good quality.. she said 1 was good quality - A grade but others not too good.. reall need some hope!

I hate this 2WW!

:hugs:

sorry im not too sure on IVF but wanted to wish you good luck

Hi Tanya

The IVF 2WW is far worse than any other 2WW, so try not to get too down about it. I found that the best way to get through it is to make sure you have at least an hour every day where you do something that occupies your mind. Whether that be watching a film, or just going for a walk with your OH - talking about IVF is off topics though.

Both of my cycles had a day 3 transfer. The first cycle I had a grade 1 to 2 9-cell embryo and a grade 2 8-cell embryo transferred. Second cycle, both my embies were grade 2 - 1 was 8-cell the other was 7-cell.

At my clinic, 90% of their pregnancies come from grade 2 embryos, so just because your embryos might not be 100% perfect, doesn't mean it won't work. And I realise this is easier said than done, but please don't worry about anybody else's embryo quality - it has no reflection on the success or otherwise of your treatment.

 for the 2WW from hell...

I had a day 3 transfer with two eight cell embryos but the hospital did not give me a grade. In a way I am kind of glad they didn't. Might've spent days worrying otherwise...

I don't know the grades. She told me 1 was perfect and 2 were mediocre. We waited until day 5 so 1 was a blast and the other 2 were not quite blasts.

Last cycle 2 were excellent 5 days blasts graded A, and two were frozen as grade B. This time around I had the 2 grade B's thawed and put back in, with the one mediocre put back in, so I'm sure mediocre means C maybe, or D? I'm glad I didn't get a grade for that one either, I'd be obsessing! LOL! I don't know about the cells though.

Good luck to us, Tanya!
