A bit of a pointless thread really, sorry!
Starting out, I just wanted to feed for as long as I could but always said I wouldn't go beyond 6 months because I didn't think it was for me. Now that feeding is established, I don't see the point in stopping just because we've hit a milestone. So I want to keep breastfeeding Aisling exclusively (with solids!) after 6 months as long as I'm not at work and to then keep up the morning and night feeds with solids and formula during the day when I'm at work. Obviously I may change my mind about this in the future when Aisling's teeth come in etc but I at least have a new aim!
I was a bit nervous about telling DH because he's generally been against breastfeeding anything other than a very small baby but he was really supportive and happy about my decision!
Really pleased he's behind me, I know I'll probably get some comments from people but at least he'll be in my corner!
My sister has already told me I'll be making a "rod for my own back" if I go past 6 months
