I have a dentist appt on monday, i have a huge hole in my tooth so am definitely going to need at least a filling. I'm on income support but do not have an NHS exemption card, am i going to have to pay full price for my treatment?

Are you not entitled to an NHS exemption card? We both got sent tax credits one a while ago but i had to ring up and ask if we were entitled because they hadn't bothered to send us one out x

It says if you're on income support you're entitled to free dental care and prescriptions (which I remember reading on the back of them that you fill in) I'd just make sure you tell them you're on income support (you may have to fill a form in) and if they try to fob you off (mine did but I'm private) say it's on the NHS website

I have never shown them the card hun. I just tick the income support box x

You should be fine just ticking the box Hun plenty of people did it where I worked and were fine xx

Ooh good, i really can't afford to pay it at the moment, especially as my tax credits have just been stopped! Thanks girls x
