Now I'm wondering if that was a smart decision.

How did you pinpoint ovulation day??

Did you do it the 3 days leading up to ovulation or o-1, ov, and ov+1??

:flower:

I didnt know exactly when OV day was going to be. I'd also read that it would possibly be even later w Clomid. This time, I used a lot of online ovulation calendars that were predicting around CD 18, 19 or 20. They were really all over the place. And I dont chart so didnt really know for sure the length of my luteal phase. I get ovulation pains and extreme gas (tmi) typically OV around CD 16 so I can tell I ovulated. O-day ended up being on the same CD16. Only observed that in last few months since I started paying attention to everything. My OPKs turned + on CD 14 and I BD-ed everyday after then. Wasnt really sure when O would be happening, but it happened 2 days later on CD16. Hope that answers ur qn. I O on my own. I was on Clomid to help us w DH's low sperm count situation. But diagnosed w PCOS even though lab tests showed otherwise.

My ob/gyn suggest every other day...even for normal couples. Maybe, you can use pre-seed, which is supposed to provide a good environment to keep the sperms alive, and I think they can stay there for 5 days or so. That way you can BD once in 2-3 days.

Tx for the advice. We did use Preseed. With Preseed, you are good every 2-3 days? Really?!

I would take to a doc about it. This is all extrapolation...pre-seed provides a good fertile environment for the spermies and usually they can survive well (upto 5 days) in good fertile CM (like EWCM)... But again, I cannot be completely sure. I'll let you know if I find any more on it.

with low sperm count your usually better off skipping a day in between. that way they get more with each "shot" IYKWIM. my husband doesnt have low count, but low morphology, and we have been told to try our best to only go every other day to get more good swimmers. preseed does help keep them alive longer as well...but that is all decided with lab testing so who knows...

OK, seems we are at the end for this month so have to apply that next month if it doesnt work this month. I will go every other day instead. Hope we didnt hurt our chances by DTD everyday around O time. I'm losing my patience with DH's problem. I am sure I would have gotten pregnant by now with someone else. ***Sigh***. Putting myself through all this when I ovulate just fine. And his mother has the nerve to talk sh*t that it's because of me we dont have kids. Stupid woman. Sorry. Just had to get that off my chest.

May e have him start taking zinc suppliments? It raises sperm count...also go commando around the house...keeping cool helps...and not talking any kind of anti inflammatory meds.

Yeah, I have also head about zinc supplements. He should atleast take a multivitamin every day. Also, I see there is fertilaid for men. I don't know how good that can be, but might be worth it to do some research on it.

MrsM - morphology has been quite subjective in the fertility world. A few years ago, they used to look for 30%!! Then they figured they can't find men who had such high numbers and they lowered it to 5%. My husband's came out to be 2.5%, but when I looked up online, they say average is between 2-5%. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I know another lady whose DH also had similar numbers, but she got preggo fine.
