Ive posted a fair few posts tonight about BF/FF as i'm really undecided on what to do & have been having a long hard think tonight about it all ...

Did anyone in this section breast feed just for the colostrum then switch to formula when the milk came in? As this is what i wish to do & just wondered if its possible etc ...

Beth, I saw your other thread about the medication. You can absolutely try and get your colostrum into the baby for the antibodies and then return to your medication that you need.

I have also had these conflicts with pregnancy and breastmilk with my heart medication.

I breastfed for 5 days and then gave up as i was so stressed and depressed and felt if i continued i would resent my baby. My HV was lovely when i told her, said she got all the good stuff from the breast and a happy mummy helps to make a happy baby!

I did this but not intentionaly.
We breast feed fine for 4 days but when my milk came in i produced to much and my breasts became to full and soild for LO to latch on to nipple. i had to pump enough out to make it so she could latch on, but pumped more than enough to feed her three times over and i just couldn't handle the stress of it so we decided to FF. LO adjusted fine and we had no problems other than a little constipation about a week into FF. Hope that helps :)
