Hello ladies, as the title says really. I had a bo in July and currently ttc. I have been researching baby aspirin and the more I read the more hesitant I become about taking it...for example I've read it can actually thin the uterine lining preventing implantation.

Anyway the way I see it is I've got pregnant before so fingers crossrd I will again...but I'm hoping I'm not making a mistake by deciding not to use baby aspirin. I do take Omega 3 2000mg. Surely there must be many women who mc/have a bo and go on to have a healthy pregnancy without using baby aspirin?

Thank you x

I had a BO in August. I took baby aspirin for 1-2 weeks after my D&C because we TTC immediately and I had read that it can increase blood flow to your uterus and thicken the lining (and I was concerned about conceiving while my lining was still too thin). I did not get a BFP in September though and have stopped taking the baby aspirin because of the conflicting evidence about it. Like you, I figured I got pregnant without it before and that if it mattered that much then my doctor would have prescribed it.

Good luck and baby dust!!! xoxo

My doctor (a specialist) told me to start taking it after my second straight MC. I got PG the next month after my MC after I had started taking it, and it was healthy. This last time I forgot to start taking it before we started trying again, I got PG the first month we tried, but I miscarried again. So I started taking it again!

One of the reasons my doc said to take it was it prevents blood clots which can form and block the babies supply of blood. But like I said it worked for me the first time, so I'm taking it again!

Thanks Pray, did you start taking ba once you got your bfp? If not, how many months were you on it before you fell pregnant? I'm hesitant for the reasons above plus mc are so common im hoping and praying I don't have any issues and my next pregnancy will be ok. It's hatd when you've had one and then try and decide what is the best thing to do, as nobody wants another mc. There must be hundredd of women who do not know about BA and went on to have another pregnancy and carried gull term...

Think im going to stick to taking my omega 3 fish oil and pre-natals xx

hey i had mmc and bo i think. im preg again and im not taking ba. i had a scan during the week and my baby had a heartbeat :) im still feeling pretty sick so im hoping this time il be luckier :) u only need ba if u have issues with clotting but sometimes u can have issues and not know it. i asked my doc about ba but she said no way, not after 1 mc. i thought it sounded callous , like oh yeah just take ur chances on a second baby but i now know why she said it i think, cos is u dont need it ur better off not taking it . xxx best of luck sweetie, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you lilesmom :) And congratulations on your pregnancy!! I've decided not to take it...it has REALLY stressed me out, making a decision that could potentially prevent another mc....but lots of women who have had a bo have said they did not take BA and are currently well into their pregnancy or have their little one in their arms :) x

i know babe i was the same, i was kinda cross coming out of the docs office :)
im glad now though and if i had taken it , i would be convinced it had worked this time :) bo they say is something that just randomly happens so at least we more than likely wont have it happen again thank god xxxxx best o luck. xx

I started taking ba right after my second MC, so I was on it when I got pregnant. I MC in August 2009, and got my BFP in October 2009 (my next "normal" cycle). I'm not saying it happened because of the BA, but It won't hurt, but it might help. That's the same thing the specialist said about the progesterone suppositories.

I had a bo without taking anything it was a suprise pregnancy had a d&c Feb 2011 got pregnant again in June it was a chem. July decided to start baby asprin, vitamin E, prenatals, and vitamin b-6 got pregnant again another chem. In Aug got pregnant again with twins/triplets that August but mc I had a partial septate uterus I did not know about other wise it should have been a full term pregnancy. Got pregnant again after septate surgery this past july mc at 5 wks. trying again.
