did your "motherly love" come straight away?

No, I didn't feel the "rush" straight away. I had a good labour and birth, but suffered from a PPH after the birth which meant I was off my feet for a couple of days. I dunno if this played any part in it or not. I'd say the motherly love came after a few weeks, once we'd gotten used to having a baby and I was more sure about things!
