I mean completely empty, if I try to hand express the tiniest amount of really creamy hindmilk will come out after lots of twinging, and they're nothing to them they've just turned to jelly. Absolutely nothing came in from the little amount I slept last night.

Joel has been screaming and screaming all morning and was up most of last night, i'm sure he's still hungry but my boobs are just so sore and he doesn't seem to be getting anything whatsoever, I have no idea where my milk has gone! And I can't go to the shop and get any formula because I don't have my card, and I don't have a working phone in the house at the moment so I can't ring anyone. I feel so depressed and like a total failure, he just wont stop screaming and I have no idea what to do

Hi sweetie,

Please try to stay calm.

When you put LO to the breast does he quieten down? Or continue crying?

Was your supply ok yesterday? Has he reduced the frequency of feeds recently? :hugs:

He quietens down, i'm trying to feed him at the moment again, he looks like he's dropping off although he did this a couple of hours ago and woke up after ten minutes...

Supply has been okay recently, and I haven't noticed much of a change in his routine. I'm hoping that he'll go down for a nap now I just don't see how i'm going to last the day like this. The right one seems to have a little more than the left, the left just seems completely drained

Dont worry about not having any milk - your breasts are never totally empty.
Always remember that expressing is not a good indication of supply.

Sounds to me like a growth spurt and LO is cluster feeding. Just keep him at the breast as often as he wants and try to ride it out. They generally only last a few days or so.

I would advise against using formula - this will only create real supply issues.
Keep LO and the breast and try not to worry. :hugs::hugs:

Your milk doesn't dry up that quickly hun; I am sure things will be ok xx
