Disability / sick leave in Alberta Canada

My dr said shed write me off sick soon. I'm going to be 25 weeks at that point. Just wondering if anyone knew if I can get any ei pay or anything? I'm going on mat leave 8 weeks early, before birth, because the government allows it. I'm not going back to work so I don't need to worry about when it expires.

Anyways, I have just over 600 hours and only work part time so not sure how to approach this. I won't get anything from my company I realize but wondering about any other ei pay.

Anyone know anhthig?
