Do female only-children rarely have kids?

My grandmother is an only child, she had 2 and wanted more but granddad kicked her out for cheating on him. She remarried but they were unable to have kids. Now on marriage number 3 but she's 69 so no more kids on the cards.

My mum is an only child and had 3 children. She would of had more but my dad died x
