Do you have a Christmas eve/Christmas tradition?

I think we will start having a 'family' present to open, and hamper, so a board game or age appropriate game we can all play together, or even a computer game as they get older, with a hamper of feasts or take-away menu in it lol, so a few chocs. nibbles, special hot chocolate/wine etc. and just have a nice family evening together. Maybe a little walk around where we live together to look at all the lights etc.

Oh I wish it was christmas already!Lol.On christmas eve I usually put on my new pjs,slippers and night gown and usually just get a take-away or just do little nibbles for dinner.Then usually snuggle up to christmas movies.This year LO is here so its going to be more exciting lol.xxx

We also open a present on christmas eve. I think a take away and snuggle up is the must thing to do

for the past few years(since matthew was about 4) we get the last bits done in the morning then i make a bit of a buffet for tea (matthew loves party food) we all have a bath and get our pjs on at about 4pm then watch christmassy films and eat party food x

i feel like the odd one out here. u can tell i have no kids...but i go to my local pub every christmas eve. loads of ppl who used to go to our school go there so its always busy and its nice to see those ppl you only see once a year! i also work there now so this christmas will be eve better coz i should hopefully get some free drinks! its only about a 5 min walk from my house so its v handy. me and my sis usually stumble in at about 1am and we end up getting told off coz my mam wont put the presents out until were in bed incase we peep haha.

When we were little the only thing we really did was put a carrot out for rudolf and a mince pie and beer for santa hehe. my dad also used to send out christmas lists up the chimney (open one) when we were little but that was a few weeks before christmas

We watch Christmas movies all Christmas Eve and Day. We bake cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve and everyone gets to open one gift which is always new pjs to wear to bed that night. We also read Twas the Night Before Christmas to the boys before bed. After gifts on Christmas morning me and Mark always make a big breakfast for the boys then I start Christmas dinner

We will go to my parents house on Christmas Eve for dinner, and opening gifts, then we'll go to my aunt and uncles house for more food, and more gifts! At my aunt and uncles, there will be a poker tournament, and wii mario cart tournements and PS3 rockband going on.

Christmas Day, we'll sleep as long as we wish, then open gifts with just OH and I (and baby Jaxon, though he'll only be about a month old). Then we'll go back out to my parents house so we can hang out with my brothers/sisters in laws, and the neices and nephews!

My OH and I have always gone to our parents for Christmas (mine on the day, his on boxing day) so we've always had family and close friends round on Christmas Eve for eating, drinking and merriment! I don't know what we're going to do this year, with LO but super excited!

We buy our son a new pair of PJs every year.

He gets ready for bed at 6pm we put on "Santa Claus the movie" watch that (i even love the film) LOL we eat sweets out of th celebrations tin.

Put the milk, cookies & carrotts out & we track where santa is on a website

Im so looking forward to this as as its our first one, just the three of us (usually go to the parents or inlaws) and its the first one where Phoebe understands.

We will probably get chinese on Xmas eve and just spend the evening eating. This is the first year we can put out the carrott and mince pie for Santa and Rudolph, yay!! Then will bring the presents in, once Phoebe has gone to bed.

Xmas day we always have bucks fizz in the morning and then will do the visiting in the morning and take Louie for a walk. Then I plan to do an immense Turkey dinner and spend the afternoon playing, watching Xmas films and eating chocolate and trifle.

I am so looking forward to it, I cannot wait for it xxx

Ours has always been new PJs for Christmas Eve, watch the Muppet's Christmas Carol and then nibbles and Champagne for dinner.

Smoked salmon bagels and scrambled eggs for Christmas morning breakfast with a glass of Bucks Fizz followed by Mulled Wine whilst we open our stockings. We then have to have Christmas dinner before we're allowed to even touch the presents under the tree.

Oh and jeans and PJs are banned on Christmas Day, everyone has to make an effort and wear something smart, this I love!

we always got new pj's and a selection box and a film 2 watch every xmass eve. will be doing the same for my lo maybe not the selection box though haha. we live with my neice and nephew and my sister does the same thing for them its always been a famly tradtion

This year the plan is...I'm taking Harvey to see Santa on Xmas eve,then we are going to meet Dean out of work at 5pm,get the bus home,while I bath Harvey, Dean will order the takeway,we will all get into our new Xmas PJ's then eat our takeaway while watching Christmas Eve TV Then put Harveys pressies under the tree.xx
