Hi ladies I was just wondering if anyone knows what the drug Norethisterone is please? And what its used for?? My sister and I both have PCOS and I was given the contraceptive pill as we are not ready ttc yet and my sister was given this Norethisterone. If she didn't want children at this stage would she of been the pill like myself?

Northisterone can be used to delay or bring on a period. It delays your period while you take it, say you dont want your period while on hols, youd take it for however long ur away then after u stop you get af. Or you take it to induce your period if you dont get them often and you need it to start on a set day ie when starting ivf.
