I am just going to get in trouble if I stay over in breastfeeding regularly and I would hate to not use BNB for things :)

A little about me :D

My first born son was formula fed, with loads of troubles!! He was on a few different kinds because the iron in the formula. He had troubles pooing, colic and all around fussy until we put him on isomil/alsoy(cheaper) and since then has been great! He then went on to be a great eater with his solids etc... :D Yay!

My second born passed away 8 hours after birth due to a complete placental abruption :( back in Feb 2008...

My third born I am breastfeeding and things are great! She sleeps through the night, isn't fussy at all and I am not going through all these terrible things that can come with breastfeeding, it's awesome!

Anyways like I said, I have been through both and I would like to hang on this side for a while :P

Hello!
You are very welcome to hang out over here with us! I am so sorry to hear about your second child :hugs: :(

But you are very welcome over here,as I said.I FF my first and at first I expressed for my second baby but I was still over in this section aswell.

:) xxxxx

 Welcome! If my next baby manages to breastfeed... I'll probably stay over here too if they'll still have me. :)

Thanks! :)

Jen1604- you expressed only? How long did you do that? I have a friend who did for 4 months!! I hate pumping lol... but love OH to be able to bond through feeding so I pump and she has ebm every 2 days and sometimes once a day, she doesn't mind the bottle at all :D

Nic1107- Yeah it seems more easy going and open over here :P So you tried with your first to bf? What happened if you don't mind me asking...?

Only just over 4/5 weeks I'm sorry to say hon. In the end running round after a toddler, looking after a newborn and pumping was too much for me but I'm happy with the effort I made  On a good day I was expressing 100%,on a bad day I was expressing about 75% and formula 25%,I've been lucky that Lennon has never rejected formula.

I think its good that your LO is used to the bottle a little bit, means if you ever need a few hours off then you've got that option and if you need to switch to formula for any reason it makes that easier too.
xxx

Carmen wouldn't latch on from day one, she hated everything about it for some reason. It was like she'd panic from being held so close or being held in only one arm, and she freaked out completely when I tried holding her neck/supporting her cheek. Touch sensitivity like that runs in my family heavily so I'm not completely surprised. I also have flat nipples and she has a "lazy" suck and never latched on properly. I expressed for a couple of weeks, but the pump didn't sustain my milk supply so we switched over completely to formula. I hate the hassle and the cost of it but Carmen is happy and thriving so that's all that matters. :)

Jen1604- Wow! I find pumping a pain lol So for you to gi 4-5 weeks is pretty darn good! I couldn't imagine having a toddler and breastfeedinbg or pumping lol... It's hard enough with Jake as he wants just as much time as his sister! I am so glad she will take the bottle too! I have around 4o+oz of ebm frozen for when I decide to go out a while, if I ever do LOL and it's good to know if I needed to give her formula she will eat it :)

Nic1107- Oh sorry to hear you had so much trouble! :( I had some problems too with latching and Kayleigh was ill with jaundice and a preemie too so it was rough in hospital. She had colostrum and formula until my milk came in and then we pumped for a few weeks until she was better. She is a real good baby and I was real lucky she took the breast :)
You tried and did what you could do :D
The cost and time with ff is a pain lol but like you said, your little one is happy and that is the main thing :)

Your little ones are gorgeous!!
