Last year I set all the presents out in the living room, so I think after Katie had saw her big presents, the smaller ones in the stocking didn't mean that much.

Do you give your LO's the stocking to open first before you show them the main presents?

I was thinking could let Katie open the stocking in our bedroom, then she could have breakfast, then show her into living for the main presents.

mine get stockings in bedrooms for when they wake up (usually 2-3am!!!) and then big stuff when we get up and have breakfast

Yes. Stocking gets opened before going downstairs to see what else Santa has left.

i dont think we're going to or else we'll be stuck upstairs playing with her stocking bits and bobs and i'll be way to excited to wait

wen i was growing up we always opened our stockings on my parents bed before going into the living room for main presents. will be doing the same with my kiddies!

sophie-lou and dylan always open their stockings on our bed, then it's into the living room for all the main presents from santa and the presents from others (family/friends) :)

It's always been tradition here that the stockings are opened first :)

Yup .... stockings on the end of their beds to be opened when they wake up, with enough in them to keep them amused until a relatively sensible time in the morning :haha:

Then breakfast, then main presents in the living room.

Yep we usually have stockings in bed [last year Chloe had hers in our room on our bed] then we go downstairs have brekkie then go to whichever house all the pressies are in [me, my sisters family and brothers family all live in the same street and have all pressies together with the kids]

So excited this year as Chlo will understand a little bit and whenever she sees a present she gets excited [even when its not for her!]

We all climb into our bed then open stockings first , then run downstairs for the rest!

Would love to open them in bed but my Mum, Nan, Grandad, Cousin & Stepdad are banging on my door waking us up at 8am to 'see Hallie's face'

We open stockings on the bed before going downstairs to see hwta Santa has left and open presents from friends and family

We open stockings on our bed, then down for breakfast and then start on the main presents, goes way too fast :( xx

tradition in my family to do stockings first as well. :) Will probably do stockings first than breakfast this year. Though I am considering having Stan put together her big present so that it's out for her to see (play kitchen)

all our presents are in the living room, the stockings are literally hanging on the fireplace, we did it that way when we were younger, I also keep the tradition of not letting the lo's in first as I have to go and check that santa has been 1st lol

We do stockings on our bedthe kids Love it and gives us chance to wake up lol

i used to wake up in my room and see my stocking and be sooo excited that santa had come! ooooh im gonna have lucas' stocking in the front room this year with his big prezzies but from next year when he understands about it x

Lilly hasnt had a stocking yet but im going to get her one this year. Ill put it the end of her bed so she can open it when she wakes up, if she wakes up without me waking her. If not I might give her a nudge and run back out lol, let her open them and then take her down to all her presents. I dont know how you can contain your excitement through breakfast lol! Breakfast just goes out of the window in our house on christmas morning until everything is open etc and then we remember we need to eat lol :)
