Do you let toddlers open their stocking before letting them see main presents?

When I was little having a stocking was the only way I would get any sleep because I would be waking up every 10 minutes but once I had my stocking about 2am I could finally go to sleep until about 5 when I made everyone get up
my stockings only ever had very little presents after my mum got fed up of Santa get all the credit lol

When we were kids my parents keft the stockings on our beds to buy themselves some extra sleep - they still only got to sleep till 5 most years though We'll be doing the same.

I dont know how some people can wait to have breakfast 1st then prezzies....there is no way my 2 (or me ) could wait to eat, then open prezzies......we all just run downstairs and unwrap whichever present we see 1st

Tegan opens her stocking on her bed and then we will go downstairs and I'll make sure Santa's been.. Then we'll open presents and have breakfast after!

I know i'm 20 and should have grown up but me and DH go round my parents on xmas eve [stay the night] then open stockings in my parents room before going down to open main presents. I refuse to let go of christmas.

I guess I'm the odd one out then, because we always saved stockings for last. And it was always in the living room with they tree and everything else. Though I do like the idea of it being there when you wake up! If only my parent's had thought of this! I wouldn't have gotten them up so early! Hahahaha! I'll have to remember that for when my kids are a bit older!

when i was a kiddie, my mum n dad never did stockings they never really got into the xmassy spirit n did all things like puttin cookies and mil out for santa etc, im gunna do things different to them and let Kian have his stocking before the presents under the tree and that xx

DH's family used to have christmas lunch first and then open presents not in this house!! lol
