Your house? Your neighbourhood? Your town/local area?
Nosy :haha:

Yeah I love it, I live in a really rural village on the Cheshire/Shropshire border called Wrenbury. It's 6 miles from the nearest anything so pretty quiet! We live in a barn conversion owned by OH's parents, they live next door! The only downside is everyone knows everyone else's business because it's such a tiny community, but everything else is perfect! The nearest towns are lovely too, schools are fantastic. I feel very lucky.

Ooh that sounds amazing :cloud9:. I'd love to live in a village!

Another downside actually, if you need to nip to the shop or for petrol... 12 mile round trip!! You have to be super organized!

Ouch! I'd be forever getting stranded without petrol.

yes i do like it it's quiet and safe. I've lived in the area all my life but you could say i live in a nicer area now than where i grew up. We're twenty minutes walk away from a decent little high street or 5 minutes in the car from asda and a biggish retail park. 30 minutes ish drive from liverpool which i love. where are u eleanorace?

I LOVE my area, it's a small town, but easy access to 2 larger towns and a city. I live on a new estate just out of the town centre and it's so quiet and nice. I'm from Birmingham and I much prefer where I live now to the hustle and bustle and hassle.

I like where I live, I am in a town in Mid Cheshire, not too big and not too small. Would appreciate a Cinema and a Nando's though :haha: But I live 35 mins from both Liverpool and Manchester.

My bungalow I love but I would love it even more if it had a separate dining room instead of a kitchen/diner. My street is a cul-de-sac of bungalows containing mainly old people so is very quiet.

Love my town. :cloud9:

Where we live, we are about a five minute walk from the high street and a 20 minute drive from two big cities. Lots of things to do nearby.

I live in Exeter :). I like it, it has the pro's of city life (theatre, cinemas, restaurants etc) but it's not too busy.

I used to live there Eleanor! :)

I like where I live now though because Manchester is a 20 min train ride away but we're pretty rural. The country side is on our doorstep and it's beautiful but not too isolated.

Plus you live a stones throw from the sea Eleanor, that's something I miss loads!

err no, I live in Croydon voted 15th worst town in the country last year, we have a massive over population issue, and serious crime problems. it seems to be mentioned on lost of comedy shows as horrfic, were in the english dictionary for the 'croydon facelift' where girls scrape there hair back, were mentiones in douglas adams hitch hikers guide to the galaxy as the worst town ever in the universe....now that saying something!

but i never have to worry about work as were so close to London, we get paid more for living in a large area, although house prices are 16% higher then average, there so much variety in stuff to do i have every shop and supermarket you could ever imagine within 5 min, there are 6 macdonalds alone, there are some amazing school but also some horrfic ones. each area can differ so massivly from the next, currently were in a council estate (we own our home tho) and it pretty bad. but out flat was in an amzing part with big open parks and brill schools (we will be moving back there when we can afford to buy there) were 15 min by train from the centre of london, and half hour by road from brighton and the sea so there are good things. within 2 min walk from my house there is a park, massive indoor play, 2 swimming pools, a large retail centre of food outlets and a cinema.

both sets off parents live here, and all my friends so as much as i want to move away i dont know if i ever could.

Nope I dont like it at all, I hate the flat we are in and y neighbours are all asses, got nothing against Southend personally just dont wont to live here, we are moving in Feb though and I cant bloody wait :flower:

I live in a small ex mining town. Tbh weve never had any issues. The area has a very high unemployment rate though, which does worry me a bit!

I love where we live! It's a tiny village a few miles from Oxford, we don't even have a pub or shop (just a very posh garden centre with amazing cakes!) We live in a converted barn with lots of beams and a huge log burner and a big country kitchen... I love it! We are only a couple of miles away from shops so not too far from civilisation. I like this area, I grew up a few miles down the road and my Mum and Dad ar still close by too which is lovely.

Hubby grew up in Bournemouth but moved up here to be with me and loves it round here too, thankfully!

Its ok. I have lived in worse!

I don't mind the area. I will like it better once i get a car. Im working on that though so once that is sorted i will feel a whole lot better. It is a small town and everybody knows each other. I am the only British person (that i know of) so people are right in my business asking me all sorts of questions and they all remember me because of it and get shocked when i buy something different at the store...

Its very cold though (northern New York) and i went out in a long sleeved top, a hoody, a jacket, a coat and a scarf earlier and i was just right. Just as an idea of how cold it was! It is only going to get colder now too. So that part i dont really like.

Im going to get used to it though because there is no way im moving again! I managed to live in 3 houses and two different countries in 3 weeks!

We have a tiny apartment in a building with probably 10 other apartments at a guess. It's painted bright yellow all over and its pretty horrendous but i think i have got used to it! I like that its small because its so easy to keep clean and tidy and brilliant for a lively toddler. No stairs and i can see her from quite literally everywhere. Quiet neighbours for the most part. I know when they take a shower and vacuum but they must know when i do too! I dont mind people just going about their business. The snow plow about throws me out of bed when it goes past (we live on a main road) but definitely more of a positive than a negative in the long run.

Holly, I remember you talking about moving on another thread way back! So glad it worked out for you:thumbup:

I love where we live now, a lovely community in San Diego:cloud9: Walking distance to the school and some nice stores and a great house on a quiet but friendly street! Weather is pretty much always warm, can easy get to the beach and not much of a drive inland and there's the winter snow in Julian! I'm also from the Uk but we seem to have found the british end of town as every other mum is from the UK:haha:

Not at all. I live in southern USA... and while I do like the south, I have dreams of living in the northwest. Montana or Washington state, for example. DH would love that, too, but I doubt we'll ever move.
