that I'm only letting her watch tv if its in french?

I figure if she's going to watch it it might as well be productive. Anyone else do this or is it just me?

I am english but live in france and archie watches english telly, i feel that he will learn french when he is older but for the time being it is good that everything is familiar, although it is reassuring to know that they are "soaking up" another language!

Yeah if I don't homeschool her I'm putting her in French school, so she'll learn it eventually but we're speaking english around her 24/7 so its nice for her to at least hear it, even if she doesn't know what it means

I agree, if french telly wasn't so rubbish maybe I would put that on too!! To be honest archie likes the programs which don't have a distinguishable language just silly noises!!!!! We run a b&b and around 90% of our guests are french so we are always talking a lot around him so it isn't completely alien.
