do you think this name sounds "puffy"

i love Jesse for a boy but some people have said they think it sounds 'puffy' and that its a name people use for a lad whos a bit camp

what do you all think ??

I LOVE that name and one of our friends is called Jesse. I always thought it was a very cool and masculine name because of "Jesse James" but Jesse (our mate) said he did get a bit of flack for it growing up as some people think it's a girls name.



I still think its lovely though.

Personally i like it - i think people probably think that its camp from when people say "he's a big jessie" etc. The spelling Jesse is different, and Jesse Spencer seems to have done alright!!!

Not sure about jesse. I know that it means a man who is quite camp like you said and because of this your son maybe bullied at school for haveing a name like that.You know what children are like but apart from that i think that it is a really nice name.Sorry if i come accross as being quite rude. x

My OH recently suggested Jesse James and personally I hate it....firstly because of the obvious namesake but also because it does make me think of a bit of a pansy! Sorry to be a bit brutal, don't mean to be horrible, obviously lots of people like it
