what the name of the thing I am looking for is..

Basically do you ever remember the head/alice bands when you where kids and they had your name on in a raised gel/plastic thing. They also use them I've seen on market stalls where people write stuff on bibs like 'Number 1 dribbler' 'my dad and I support Liverpool'

Does anybody know what I mean? haha is it a pen or a machine? I'm making something and i really need one and have no idea what they are called to search!
