does anyone have kaiser & a CNM?

i have my first prenatal appointment scheduled with a CNM (certified nurse midwife) through kaiser on the 19th. i will be just two days shy of 8 weeks along and i really want to find out if they will do an ultrasound at that visit

does anyone have experience with kaiser and CNMs there
first prenatal appoints anything?

I have kaiser and they have certified midwife's there but I'm seen by an actual doctor during all my visits. And although I'm not sure if it's procedure for all kaiser locations or just the one I'm at but I did have an ultrasound my first appointment. It was transnational so be warned of that!

and thats okay i have had a transvaginal ultrasound before
i am not bothered by them

I had no idea they even existed until I was getting one! It wasn't that big of a deal once it was being done, but prior was quite the shock!

i have no idea they existed until i have pelvic exam and my gyno saw or felt something weird in there idk what it was like a bump she said it was probably nothing but she could order me an ultrasound anyway just to make sure and i wanted to make sure because this was at my pre conception visit so we had just started ttc and i wanted to know if there was anything that might hinder our success so i went in and got a transvaginal ultrasound and got to see my uterus (empty of course at the time) and my ovaries but the technician couldnt find a dominant follicle. but yeah everything was normal

I have kaiser. With my first pregnancy I had one done on my first visit. With this pregnancy I've had one done as a early scan to check for heartbeat. I go in the morning for my first official OB appointment and expect to get one then.

yeah i contacted my doctor and she said they will do an informal ultrasound at the first appointment meaning one in her office and not over at radiology
she said they should be able to see the heartbeat and confirm how far along i am

do you happen to know when they do the scan for gender?
or if they do a scan at 12 or 13 weeks?
