DD got this last Xmas and played with it a bit but in the last 3 months or so she has become obsessed by it. She uses it mainly for the magnetic letters and numbers rather than the blackboard bit so it can't comment on that. I've just read the reviews and I honestly don't think it's that bad! The tray insert is riddiculously flimsy though but after a years use it's still serving it's purpose so maybe it's not that bad. I paid £10 for it last year and feel it was well worth that. I also like the fact all the bits can go back in the case and it's easy to store. HTH x
