Does anyone here have SKYPE

I need a bit of help. Skype newbie. I have a built-in web cam on my laptop, but how do I know the video is showing up?? I only have my mom to call and she's busy so I can't test it. When I am looking at the main screen, is my video supposed to show? Or will it not show unless I am on a conference??

When your in a call with someone you can press the video button and you will show up! I don't think there is any other way to test it, maybe someone else can cover that HTH x
