I am still on going with my battle to get LO on formula. I manage to get small amounts in him at a time, and i mix about 50ml with his cereal every day. Since doing this though for the past 2 weeks he has become constipated, i had to relieve it today by giving him stool softener drops which have helped now for the time being.

Is constipation just a sign his body is needing to adjust and will pass or does it generally mean he isn't reacting with the formula and ill have to buy a new one (again)?

I hope it will pass as he actually likes the taste of this formula i have changed to. I think it is quite similar to BM tasting possibly and i feel its my only hope of getting him off the boob.

Any advice would be wonderful. :)

It will pass. We went through the same thing with dd. His tummy just has to adjust.

It will pass- it may not be a reaction to the formula but the solids. If you are giving him solids maybe give him some "p foods" pears plums peas or prunes and increase his water intake. It can take a little while for him to adjust but even now Sophie can get constipated and she isn't even on formula. Usually banana's and some cereals are a culprit for her.
