Slightly pregnancy related lol...

Well anyway, I don't want to spend silly money on clothes for being pregnant as it's only going to be for the next few months but I was wondering if anyone knows if Primark do maternity clothes or where I can get similarly cheap clothes?? I could do with getting some cheap and cheerful clothes for when the sunny weather arrives (if it ever does).

I don't want to be uncomfortable and sweaty when i'm the size of an elephant lol!

Im not sure if Primark do but dorothy perkins, marks and spencer, topshop do but some of their stuff can be a little pricey. I got some really comfortable black trousers from marks only £15 and good quality xx

hi hun
dont think primark sell maternity clothes but peacocks do if you have a one of those where u live thats where i got mine from when i was pregnant loved there clothes they got a wide variety too and just as cheap as primarks prices on normal clothes

hope this helps

oh and peacocks have a website why dont u have a look :)

i dont know about maternity clothes but i heard they do nightys with buttons down the front that dont look like they belong to your granny....... try ethel austins or peacocks if you have a store close to you they are reasonably priced

I'm not sure but i was planning on buying normal clothes, baggy tops etc from there and peakocks etc just in larger sizes. X

Ive just looked at Peacocks website and they don't do skirts !

I was thinking of getting summery skirts with an elasticated waistband like with my last pregnancy 5 years ago, either that or get a few pairs of leggings and long tops to wear over!

Not sure about Primark but you could try your local Asda living they may have a range there - also they have a website :D

ooo i had a gorgeous long skirt like that from next honey, though can be sightly pricey, have you thought about looking at new bits from e-bay? x

Wish they did. I still have a load of maternity clothes floating around, think they were from Dorothy Perkins mainly, wasn't too expensive in there. I got some black pants for work fro Topshop though and they cost me £40!

I have bought three summer dresses from Primark at just £7.00 and £4.83 in the last few weeks they are not maternity but have loads of room in the skirt part...I will take some photos in a bit and post them on the thread!

New Look are pretty good...and Peacocks!

This is the updated post as you can see!!

The first dress was £4.83 from Primark

The second and third £7.00 each from Primark

The fourth was £28.00 from New Look

I'm having shirt issues... and although Primark doesn't have maternity wear, I managed to get some nice tops that would be baggy enough for work and very cheap!

Get yourself on ebay - I have found some right ole bargains! Most would have only been worn for a couple of months at the most and you can also pick some items up brand new still with tags! :happydance:

Peacocks do cheap clothes, also another one is New look. Debenhams Red Herring section I think it is also, Mothercare. Mothercare and Debs are expensive though! There's stuff online too. I have bought normal long tops and just put a belt around the upper waste just under the bust to hold the top in so it don't look like a tent lol.

Hi Asda and Peacocks have nice maternity clothes. Im loving peacocks at the minute. There maternity clothes are comfortable and nice and cheap.

Primark definitely don't do maternity clothing, I've just been in today! I did however buy a couple of smock top strappy tops which have plenty room in and I'm hoping to wear them over leggings. I also bought a few non-maternity things in h&m, again baggy dress things to go over leggings and they had a nice summery elasticated waist skirt in which I think will be bump friendly for 9.99.
I've been really quite disappointed in maternity wear.

On the subject of maternity wear, does anyone know where (pref high street so can try on) sells maternity shorts? Going on holiday soon and need 1 pair of very very baggy (large legs!) elasticated waist shorts!!

they have 3quarter shorts in next in mat dept the only other place ive seen them is in mamas and papas.
ive had some good gear from primark thats going well with the bump!!!

Im not in maternity just yet but i was quite disappointed with some of the things around. I wouldnt want to spend a fortune but the things i looked at in places were really horrible. I know it is possible to have nice , as flattering as can be and within fashionable maternity clothing - so guess i will have to spend that bit more :(

hiya i got some fab jeans from asda they were only £16 they have the under the bump elastiic so comfy.but online they do a few bits to. newlook have a maternity range aswell. what ive noticed in most of the shops you can get nice tops that arent maternity but would fit fine. i went in primark today and they had quite a few. i think its really just the trousers you will have to get maternity .its such a pain im trying to hold out .Will need to buy work trousers in the next few weeks.

The primark £1 long ribbed vests are great, they are better than maternity vests, much longer and stretchier.
