Does this sound ok (closeness of last 2 feeds of day)

My Lo has the recommended 5 bottles a day, im just concerned the last 2 are a bit to close together.

He has his first at 7.30/8.00, 2nd at 11.30, 3rd at 3.30, 4th at 6.30/7.00 and last at 8.00.

Up until a few weeks back he went to bed at 9pm so his last bottle was then and therefore 2-2 1/2 hours after his previous bottle. He is now getting tired earlier and needs to begoing to bed at 8.00pm. There is no way I could drag out the 4th bottle until 8.00, he wouldnt last that long. And up until a week ago he would have 2/3oz at 6.30 and say 4/5oz at 8.00 (or the other way round!), so 6-8oz over the 2 feeds.

This last week he has been having 7oz at 6.30 and another 5-6oz at 8.00, so 12-13oz in 1 1/2hrs over the 2 feeds. Does this sound too much during this time? He doesnt have a bottle during the night so I guess hes stocking up for the night, it just feels likes its too much. On the flipside though he still is only having 5 bottles as recommended so not having more formula than suggested.

LO has a similar routine, 1st bottle 8am (6-7oz), 12pm (6-7oz), 4pm (6-7oz) and then he gets cranky so we do bath bottle bed routine at 7pm so he has his last bottle early (8oz)

I dont see any problems with what your doing seems fine to me, if your wanting a slightly diff routine Is there no way you could bring the 11.30 feed to 12 and the 3.30 to 4 like 10mins at a time over a few days and then with our LO he gets hungry before his bath so we give him half his bottle before his bath, then he has his bath a massage and dressed, and having the rest of his bottle for 8

So ... bottle at 8am, 12pm, 4pm, 7pm half of bottle then bath etc, after that rest of bottle and then bed

That sounds pretty normal and healthy to me. Our boy does the same thing. An hou and a half to two hours between his last feeds. Their brains start to learn that they will sleep longer and don't want to wake up hungry.

^^Totally agreee. I'm having issues with LO feeding ath the moment but she normally drinks more in the evening-and I also feel that their brain signals they need to do this to get good sleep and growing time

Hi, my Lo does the same always wants last 2 feeds before bed closer together, I just have to listen to FIL going on and on about it when he visits 'she can't be hungry again, you can't feed her already blah blah blah!!' x x

My LO does exactly the same thing. I thought it was similar to 'cluster feeding' when he was exclusively breastfed. He has 5-6 oz's around 6ish and then again at 8ish... He seems absolutely fine and is very contented so I'm guessing it's normal.
