Just curious to see answers on this then I shall put up my thoughts xx

He suffers from eczema so I find the waistband of his trousers rubs his tummy without a vest on.

zane wears a vest if needed but hardly ever. our heating wouldnt work afew weeks ago and the house was cold so he had a vest on underneath his pjs.

this winter he will be wearing big boy vests instead of baby vests

Yes Lily has eczema so it stops clothes rubbing it and her being able to scratch it!

yes. It's underwear. He wears a vest even if it's hot xx

I ask because an Aunt of my Dh's is always making digs at me that my lo wears a vest and her grandchildren dont (even though one of them always suffers from chest infections) I dont know what the F her problem is. The reason my lo wears them is because 1. It hasnt been overly warm and his clothes are always riding up 2. He uncovers himself in the night so its an extra layer, 3. if he spills somethint or gets wet for some reason it will protect his chest and 4. he also has excema and so depending what hes wearing, the cotton vest is soft against him. I dont know what the frig its got to do with her tbh I dont critisize her grandchildren for not wearing them xx

Maybe criticise her underwear and see how she likes it! :winkwink:

ha ha!! Good one!!! xx

I voted 'sometimes'. I know Harry is 2, but last winter I still had him in vests! I just like him to be "tucked in" if you know what I mean?! He hasn't worn one for a few months now though.

my lo doesnt at the mo i cant find any big enough we need 18-24 and everywhere seems to stop at 12-18! do you use body suits? or just vest?

bodysuits because i like the 'tucked in' idea, but i must admit they are beginning to look a bit small and i dont think they do ones bigger than 18-24 months, so might move over to big boy's vests soon xx

Anna has worn a vest everyday since she was born - she is 17 months now.

If I was in a particularly warm place, then maybe I wouldnt, we are in freezing scotland - current temperature 14 degrees.

At baby&toddler club last week there was a toddler who clearly didnt have a vest on and her top was riding up and trousers falling down and nappy visible and it wasnt very nice!

I am now going to get 18-24months vests- am assuming they still do them in packs in Asda?:flower:

yes and in Tesco's too hun, but they always seem out of the bigger sizes so im guessing im not the only one who buys them!!! xxx

I voted yes! I find it holds in the nappy well and if the tshirt or top she is wearing rides up it means her tummy isnt all exposed! lol. In the summer Ill probably just let her hang around the house in a vest and no top lol.. I think they are fab for babies/toddlers x

Soph, Asda & Tesco do 18-24 month vests with poppers.

Harvey still wears one during the day as he likes lifted up lots and I find his top rides up. He doesn't wear them to bed anymore since the weather is getting warmer now, we just put him in his nappy and jammies.

He does, but when its (hopefully!!) hot i'll just put him in a t shirt xx

he does wear one most of the time as i find his nappy leaks and ends up eveywhere apart from his bum :dohh:

Kyle has not worn one since not long after he turned one however he is the type of child who can sweat buckets just in a nappy at times, his always been a very warm/hot child.. plus personally i think the button/popper ones look very babyish but i dont see him as old enough for "big boy" vests haha

Yeah always, unless its really hot at night. I like that he has that extra layer and i find it helps keep his nappy in place
