Does your lo wear a vest?

what are big boy/big girls vests?!?!?! I am totally clueless i thought a vest was a vest?!? teehee

My LO wears a vest unless v hot.

Is a vest without sleeves and a sleepsuit a vest with short sleeves?!

This is what River wears "big girl" vest

excuse the face :haha:

Awwwww what a cutie

Yup, we recently started putting toddler vests on H during the day but still use poppered vests at night - I worry if she wriggles she might come untucked :haha:

Alice barely lets me put a top on her, let alone a vest too! She gets warm really easily. In the Winter, we may go for big girl vests if it's really cold. Or maybe stick to jumpers.

Nope! She hasn't since she was about 3 months, other than for a few weeks in the depths of winter. But she gets really overheated, really easily. Even when it's quite chilly, she doesn't wear much...

Sometimes. We all prefer shirts, but most of the clothes we've been given are vests, so he wears those too.

Yes, he has a woollen singlet (our word equivalent for vest) because it's winter at the moment

Thomas always wears the popper vests and I will keep him in them until I'm toilet training him. Keep the nappy in place and stop him from trying to pull it off. I don't like seeing the nappy poking up above the trousers so I keep him in vests. If it's hot, I just put a vest on him instead of a t-shirt.

My son will be 3 in september, and is now wearing 'big boy vests' but only a couple of months ago he was still in poppered vests. We're coming up to potty training time-so even if he hadn't out grew the poppered ones-he couldn't keep wearing them.

I don't like his nappy sticking out over his trousers now! Glad when he's mastered potty training and is wearing pants! :)

She wears a vest if it's a chilly day or always in the winter, warm days I don't put her in one.

Nope and never has. I only ever used vests as an item of clothing, like on hot days as a baby he'd wear just a vest, or a vest with shorts. He's only ever worn one layer of clothing (not including a coat). But I spent the first few months of his life battling him overheating and being head to toe in a rash. We also babywore and he was more often hot than anything else.

Yes I always put one on Jacob as his skin is also quite sensitive and otherwise his clothes really rub against his skin. I think with boys clothes there aren't as many options for clothes that wont rub so unless it's a real scorcher of a day (very unlikely over here) then he will keep wearing one.

I haven't actually considered not putting one on  unless he's going in water or its super hot. If its really warm I just put a short sleeved vest on but don't put anything over it.

Aisling wears them if it's a bit chilly out but she hasn't worn the poppered ones since she turned 2, she's in big girl vests. I don't mind the trousers riding down a bit, it shows off the pretty fluffy nappies! To be honest, as long as she has a couple of layers, I don't mind if it's a vest and top or a longsleeved top and a t shirt or whatever.

He stopped wearing poppered vests ages ago. He's so long in the torso and with cloth nappies it became more of a hassle than it was worth to find ones that fit. He often wears 'big boy' vests (like below) under his sleeping bag at night though now that it's summer, and he often runs around the house in just a vest and nappy during the day too.

I voted sometimes, as underwear. in cold weather, yes, warm weather, no. in very warm weather he wears a vest (sleeveless) as his actual top. he's been in the non-poppered ones a while, he had some long sleeved poppered ones in the winter but nothing since then.

my lo doesnt at the mo i cant find any big enough we need 18-24 and everywhere seems to stop at 12-18! do you use body suits? or just vest?

I'm having the same issue hun, it amazes me that shops seem to think that they don't need them at 18 months, but surely if they're still in nappies then they need the ones with press-studs? I managed to get some sleeveless vests 18-24 months in asda but they haven't had any for ages at ours. I checked online today and next go up to age 2-3 and think mothercare do too. hth x

Tesco do 2-3, I got some a few weeks ago for winter and I believe 3-4 too.
