Does your OH get up with baby in the night?

Cant. I breastfeed. However he helps out a lot with other things. He does all the laundry and ironing on his off days.He also cleans a lot around the house. He cooks dinner every second night. He plays with Skyler when I'm tired. He is a great dad.

No hes never got up with her but im breastfeeding so bit pointless really. However, he is sleeping on the couch so I can cosleep with her in the bed..means me and her get a pretty decent sleep, he doesnt though :( He works night shift anyway 3 nights a week so its not too bad for him.

my DH has a lot of trouble sleeping, he doesnt get up coz we co sleep so the baby is right there. he is paranoid about the co sleeping and wakes up a few times a night to check on him

my hubby does all of friday night feeds so i can get a full nights sleep! he will do most of saturday nights too. during the week i can nap between 9pm-1am if i want and he will happily take charge (he then sleeps from 1am till he gets up for work in the morning). so i do get a lot of help! it seems to work cos i wake up feeling fresh most mornings! Ali only wakes up twice during the night and is easy to get him back to sleep.

The standing joke around here was what happened when my daughter was a newborn. Someone asked us if she slept through the night. My OH replied, "Yes" and my response was "Who's night?" ROFL!

Even yesterday we were talking about Chase and OH said, "He slept through last night." :dohh: Huh? I was up at 2:30 and then at 5. ROFL

Funny thing happened to me last night....Stan always takes the first shift but I get up with him and put on the bottle and help him settle Hannah etc. before going back to bed. So last night I hear the bedroom door open and it's Stan coming in to change Hannah's diaper, I started apologizing to him for not getting up to help..........in reality I'd gotten up 30 minutes ago she'd just pooed during her feed so he was changing her again   He came over and asked me if I was okay

yes sometimes, though its mostly me as i'm bfing.

He came to my rescue last night after LO had pooped all over me in a rather dramatic fashion mid nappy change and I had to shower at 3am...that'll teach me for not wearing pjs!

I did laugh the night OH had been out to "wet the baies head" - the next morn he said "wasnt Ted good last night, i only heard him once"! It's amazing what a gallon of guinnes can do - I laughed and informed him i'd been up for two hours at one point with him screaming!!!

:rofl::rofl:

Men can be so oblivious at times.

I have no problem with hubby. We work together.

He bathes, feeds, change, and watch her too. We're in this together.

No. I remember when Bren was just a month old or so, and I was up with him, and DH was up as well and I kicked him out of the bedroom to go sleep in the guest room, him protesting the whole time. Last night, I thought Bren was going to have a rough night, so i warned my DH, and now I get 'well if I am not sleeping by 2am, then I will go to the guest room.' Oh my how things have changed.

Yep in fact he does every second morning getting up with her bottle. brekkie etc. In the middle of the night if she wakes I'm a deeper sleeper and he gets up - I often say I'm surprised he doesn't moan about that apparantly he swears at me sometimes but I don't hear lol The reason I'm surprised is he was TERRIBLE for sleeping nothing would budge him ...lay in bed all day etc so I thought this would wear off but nope hasn't!

No my Oh never did. He would sleep through it and I would wake at the smallest sound. So I didnt see the point in disturbing him.

I did ask him to start getting up on weekends in the end though, even though I was awake, so i didnt have to go tot he kitchen al least. But then Oscar was waking untill he was 4 months old. Lack of sleep was startong to affect me.

yeah my OH gets up every second night. hes great tbh. its great to only have to get up every second night. id be really shattered otherwise.

No. I breast feed, so I have to get up with Kaida regardless. Most of the time he sleeps on the couch so I can co sleep with Kaida. It's the only time I am able to get some sleep. Not much, but I can't complain. It's better than nothing.
He will change nappies/diapers when I ask him though...most of the time.

well daddy does wake if jack wakes but as i bf daddy then does back to sleep within seconds x
