Has anyone had success using a Doidy cup? My OH is adamant we will not be using sippy cups. I said thats fine, but he can clean up any spills from it :haha:

Has anyone else used these from the beginning with no trouble?

We've used them from beginning, and she's been great at transitioning to ordinary glasses. I must admit, it is harder at first as you have to help them drink or wipe up a lot of spills. If you're just offering water, that's no great problem though. By about 10 months Alice would use the doidy confidently, and from about 1 she was using our household glasses. I have made a rule though that she sits or stands still when she drinks.

Well we are using both - doidy for meals in his high chair, and a sippy cup for in between meals when he could be anywhere.

I'm amazed at how quickly he's handled the diody cup. For the first few days he would blow bubbles into the water but now he's really got the hang of it, with no spills!

We're currently trying Elia with the doidy and have been from 6 months, i have to hold it to her mouth if she gets her hands on it she thrashes it about and the water goes EVERYWHERE. She's taking tiny sips from it though and swallows abit before dribbling the rest back out and she does tend to stick her tongue in and out trying to lap the water :haha: but i hope she'll get the hang of it soon x

cheers, guess I'll order one off the net then. Was just wondering if its something common in shops in the UK cos then I would have asked my mum to bring one over.

It does? I'll ask my mum if there's one near her then, cheers
