I was wondering if anyone has dry skin issues can share any home remedies? :flower:

[[Backgroud - I get this patch of dry skin on my left side from my ribcage to just above my hip. It will be there for 3-5 days, disappear, then come back again. It's never been around when I see a doctor, though, so I've not been able to ask. The skin doesn't look like much, no bumps, doesn't look scaley or anything. DH can never even see it until I go at it scratching; turning it bright red with welts
My first though is eczema but not sure :dohh: Any advice on how to possibly help this? **I'm not a fan of using medication if I can avoid it.]]

Thank you!

Hey

I get similar on my arms, I use E45 cream or nappy rash cream and it clears it up nicely.

Xx

Try using aqueous cream instead of soap, while in the shower/bath. Its often prescribed as a moisturiser but it was actually developed to be a skin detergent and it is AMAZING. I get terribly dry skin on my legs but this clears it up immediately.

You could try bio oil. My son has very bad eczema and gets really dry skin that cracks and bleeds :-( but we have been putting bio oil on it once a day and it's cleared up really well :) x

Try using oilatum bubble bath- I honestly cant remember if you have to get a prescription or not as it has been over 10 years since I needed it- but when I used to get dry skin it would help when I had a bath. e45 works wonders, smells eeeugh though.
