Hi Im Rachel, Im 37 (in a week!) and Im expecting my second little one. I only found out this morning and I should be due around 1 April. My first instinct was to join a forum as I made a lovely bump buddy from last time and am still friends with her so I would really like one this time around too. Im still in a little shock, excited and apprehensive and obviously worried already! Therefore, someone to share moans, worries and calm each others nerves is always nice.

Happy to chat via email or Whats App as well.
Rachel

Hi Rachel.... I'm Tracy, congrats on your BFP!!!
I found out on 1st aug I'm expecting my 2nd baby (we were trying for 16 months so I'm overjoyed!) I'm due 5th April and I'm turning 35 this month, eeeeeeek!!!
We have a daughter who is 2 years old.... How about you??? Do you have any symptoms???
X

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for reply. Congratulations, 16m trying is a long wait and I bet you've been through lots of stress! Well, I turned 37 yesterday, good job we suddenly dont have age symptoms as well lol. Im due on 1st April or maybe just before as I couldnt remember my exact LMP.

My little girl is 20m and a live wire. She says all sorts of words and little sentences, is funny and clever and I love her to bits. I also have 2 step children 8 & 6 and they live with us half the week so its a mad house sometimes.

I was very shocked to get a BFP as I was supposed to be going back to the clinic for my implant in 2 weeks time! I had 2 days of panic and upset but Im getting there now. I have no symptoms aside from a little nausea but I think thats from worrying on a daily basis.

I got a tiny bit addicted to CBD's lol, I wanted to make sure they went up weeks wise. Ive done 4 now and I should be 6 weeks and theyre still saying 1-2 so the Dr said to ignore them as theyre not as reliable as people think and so did the midwife. I had a urine test at the Drs and all was ok so Im a little more hopeful things are fine now but it doesnt stop us all worrying over things right?

I got rid of all our baby things and clothing etc so will have to start all over again (That bit is not so bad :winkwink:).

Have you had any symptoms?

Hi Rachel.... Yeah, my little girl is also a 'live wire' I wouldn't have her any other way tho.... She is quite a character and she also comes out wit the funniest things! I think the age she is at is prob the best time, we have so much fun together.... I hope she enjoys having a little brother or sister!
You must have your hands full already then with one of your own and 2 step kids!??? So this pregnancy wast planned?! Is you OH happy with the news??? If things were different I would have loved to have had 4 kids! Don't think that's possible now!!!
I also did a CBD and I have one spare but refuse to do it (I guess I'm scared to death it comes back bfn!) I have my first midwife app this thurs then a scan next week (I'm getting checked for ovarian cysts so will hopefully be able to see bean and make sure all is ok!!!)
I also don't have any symptoms (not that I want to be hanging off the toilet but still, something to make me think I was pg would be good!)
Keep me posted on your symptoms and apps etc.... X

Hello Tracy and Rachel!

Congrats on your bfps!! I am 37 and this is pregnancy #3 for me, I have a 6 yr old boy and a 13 month old boy :) We had said we'd try once more for a girl and well I'm "old" hahaha so here we are, we joke that we will probably have twin boys hahaha that would be great I love my boys, but secretly would looooove to have a little girl. I can't even imagine ttc for 16 months!! you are amazing I can't even begin to imagine, so a huge huge congrats!!!!

I called today for a doc apt they haven't called me back yet  I need an early dating scan since I have a short cycle (21 days) and diclectin, I'm only mildly nauseous right now but judging on my last 2 I will need the meds! My first pregnancy I was sick the whole 9 months... the last one it lasted for 4 months... so I'm hoping there is a downward trend hahaha

Other than that no real symptoms, I did a CBD yesterday and it said 1-2 weeks, I think my due date is 10 Apr... I will need a C-section so I'll have the baby 1 week earlier I assume like last time!

Crazy thing for me is I'm still nursing my 13 month old... I've had a heck of time stopping.... now there is a deadline!!

Well hope you ladies are having a great day and hopefully we will become good friends, I too had a couple of good bump buddies from my last pregnancy!

Take care!

Kim

Hi ladies! We also just got our BFP! My EDD is April 10, and I'd love to join y'all.

I think I'd fit right in...I have a little live wire also! Actually, since she's 6 and a half, she's graduated to firecracker I think lol :) she sure is a handful, but so much fun! She is so excited for baby - she is monitoring everything I eat or do (loudly insisted I buy broccoli at the store b/c the baby NEEDS me to eat it), says she'll handle all the diapers, and told my mom she'll do anything to keep baby happy, healthy and having fun, even if its another boy :D I think she's just excited not to be the youngest anymore - she doesn't realize how good she's got it!

My symptoms were awful until today - mainly because I had this terrible sore throat, apparently from post nasal drip (ewww) - that made everything else just unbearable! But I finally got rid of that with a magical treatment I found at Whole Foods, so now I actually feel amazing. A bit tired, nauseous (only vomited when I'd try to gargle for my sore throat), a headache that comes and goes, not too bad...I'm just glad I can finally swallow, and sleep!

I also will have a c/s, probably around 4/3. I haven't seen the doctor yet, I expect to be seen around 8 - 10 weeks though.

Hey All :),
I also just got my BFP on 8/4 (DH's birthday!) with EDD 4/10/14 (but if I go by ovulation date, it could be 4/13-4/16). This is #3 for us, with one angel baby in heaven. I would love to join you! Wish4baby was my TTC buddy :hi: and we had a total of 4 BFP this month!

I also have a 2 year old and a 4 year old, both wild Tauruses who keep me on my toes all day long :)

No real symptoms for me except some pulling on my ride side and maybe some exhaustion.. but I can't tell if that is from my crazy dreams and my children or being pregnant.. I have a dr appt scheduled at 7 weeks on 8.26 so I hope to get an u/s then!

Can't wait to start this journey with you ladies! :flower:

So glad you're here mommyloves!!!! This is going to be an amazing journey! All our positive thoughts and vibes made a great (& lucky) ttc thread!
I can't wait to get a scan, I'm really excited :)

Hey Ladies

It looks like we've got a great group of ladies here!! Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months for all of us!!!

I have my first doctor's apt tomorrow, they don't normally see me until 8 - 10 weeks, but I need a prescription for diclectin, just in case, I am nauseaus already most of the day... and I have a short cycle so hopefully she gives me prescription for an early u/s to date the pregnancy.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

So just wondering when are you guys telling people? We've each told a couple of people but not our families yet... not sure when we will.

Take care.

Kim

We told our immediate familes and my kids, and my best friend who is in labor and delivery now!!! Hopefully her little girl gets here tonight :)
We won't tell anyone else until after our first scan and we see the little heart beating.

Hope you get your scan too! Keep us posted :) and I hope you feel better and don't need the meds, morning sickness can be awful!

I wish we didn't tell my inlaws though. Already drama is starting. A whole issue with a stroller I lent my sil, well she either sold it or gave it away ($1000 +) then bought herself a new cheaper stroller and kept the difference. We found that out yesterday.
Then today my mil decides to call my DH with a list of names she likes (she's not called me to congratulate or anything). He tells her the ones we like and she hates all of them. So now, of course DH just loves her choices, and suddenly doesn't like the ones we've already put on our list - plus his sister called and said, you have to use my name, it can be for a girl or boy!! i dont like unisex names, plus my dd already has a version of her name as a middle name. Mil choices are awful and now we'll fight over names. I refuse to today, though :) oh, and mind you, we're not even that close with them - they're like 3 times a year family, you know? Annoying!

Hello ladies and welcome!!! Congrats to you all on your BFP's....
Wish4baby.... Oh your in-laws are already starting??? Hope you can zone out and not have to listen to them too much!!! It's all good fun isn't it?!
Kim... What is diclectin? Sorry excuse my lack of knowledge!!!
I have my first midwife app today, just a meet and greet I think but I'm slightly freaking out as I have no symptoms (slight heartburn, that's it!) and I'm a bit worried..... Anyone else having symptoms or lack of????
Keep me posted ladies xxxx

wish4baby: did your friend have her baby? any details?!?! :) holy moly, I can't believe your inlaws are starting already!! That would drive me absolutely CRAZY!!! We have not told our inlaws because the last time we told them (them as in my FIL and SIL, MIL sadly passed away 6 years ago :( ) their reaction was one more about money than the miracle of having a baby..so we probably won't ever tell them and let them find out on their own during the one of 3 times we see them per year (like yours!). I think DH should be more supportive of the choices you guys made together and not what his mom says. and what the heck on naming a baby after his sister? Unless she has been a big part of you family, I don't see the point of that. I gave my DD the middle name Michele because it is my moms name and my SIL middle name, so I figured that was good enough lol I cannot believe your SIL sold the stroller!! that is so incredibly rude and selfish.. I praise you for keeping your cool, I am not sure I could remain calm after all of that. :flower:

BettyT: Try not to worry, I am having a pretty symptomless pregnancy also so far.. but I know that once the 7th or 8th week kicks in, that is usually when morning sickness creeps up on you. I had some heartburn last night and extreme fatigue.. but I am not sure if it is from me chasing my DD and DS all day or what. I am also having issues with insomnia at night if I am woken up or have to get up for any reason.. like last night, DH left our front porch window open, I heard a scuffle and then smelled the awful smell of skunk spray. that little rascal sprayed into my house!!! I was so upset and after smelling that, I could not go back to sleep for 3 hours.. needless to say, I am EXHAUSTED!!! Please let us know how your appt goes! :flower:

wish4baby!!! OMG on your in-laws I would be livid!! hopefully your dh stands up for you! I have crazy in-laws too (although now I'm thinking that they're not too bad hahaha) but my OH is fantastic and is always backing my up, so they've learned! And your stroller... really.... who does that? did they know you were planning more kids? not that that matters....

Bettyt - no worries diclectin is a med that you can take for morning sickness, it's what they call it here in Canada, but it may be called something else other places, I was on it for the full 9 months with my first and 4 months with my second... here's to hoping I don't need it this time!!!

Well I had my doc apt this morning, pretty un-eventful, did some blood work, and got a prescription for my morning sickness meds, and also got a requisition for a dating ultrasound...

Symptoms for me so far are a little bit of nauseau... seems to be all day, it's tolerable, better if I'm eating.... oh boy here it comes.... I gain a lot of weight when pregnant (90 lbs with my first and 65 lbs with my second). So I was good and brough broccoli and tomatoes to munch on.

Anyways should get back to work

HOpe everyone is doing great!

Kim

Oh mummy loves.... A skunk sprayed in your house!!! I would have been livid!!! (We don't have anything like that in the uk! Maybe a cat pooing in your garden but that's about it!)
I'm also having insomnia but thought it was the weather, it's quite warm here in the uk a the moment (unheard of I know!)
Kim, thanks for the info, you must have been pretty sick with your babies, I will stop moaning about having no symptoms!!!!!
Mommyloves, you're right, I bet at 8 weeks I'm suffering!
Well I also had a pretty uneventful first appointment. Met my midwife, she Gave me some info and booked me in for my next app which is on 22nd aug.
Just need that scan now and I will be a happy bunny!!!! X

Kim, I'm just like you! I gained sooo much with my first - like 90 lbs. I was underweight so gained a lot at first, then got pre eclampsia and gained a ton of water weight. After I had him (c/s) I left the hospital 2 days later 55 lbs lighter!!!! All my others I gained about 60, but I was a normal weight to begin (22bmi). I really hope I can keep this pregnancy in the recommended 25-30 lb gift gain. I had a 24.8 bmi when I started (no weight gain yet). But, I also have nausea unless I'm eating a ton of carbs :(

Betty, I wouldn't worry about no symptoms. Some go all pregnancy with no symptoms, but you will most likely feel something, maybe around 8-9 weeks along.

Mommyloves, a skunk, NO!!!! That's so awful. I wouldn't be able to sleep after that either. Lol

Thanks for the support about my inlaws ladies! My husband's family had issues as he was growing up and because of that, he is always seeking their approval (imo). After 13 years, I've just accepted it and deal with it. We've distanced ourselves from them (DH too, his idea) and its better this way. SIL with stroller issue is my dh's older brothers wife. I literally cannot stand the brother, there is sooo much history there. I loaned them the stroller sort of as a olive branch b/c she was really nice, they were newly wed, expecting and it seemed he had turned a new leaf. My error - what's the saying about helping a snake and it bites you? Yeah.
The 'name' SIL is Dh's sister, and I have to say, she has good intentions and her heart is in the right place. But again, there are issues and its difficult to have a relationship with her.
Don't even know where to begin with mil and the name thing...I was hoping I wasn't over reacting...y'all think its over stepping, Right? I am not bringing up names with DH, just discreetly expanding my list, and hopefully as time goes on, this will blow over and we can discuss names.

Anyhow!!!!......I also went to the grocery store and bought a ton of really healthy foods to eat. Last night I woke up starving and drooling over charro beans with all the fixin's (texas anyone!) covered in melted cheese, so I got up early and put a pot on...wow I just had the best lunch :) but, I am trying to stay away from dairy, whoops!

So, ladies, what's for dinner!?!

Wish4baby.... I have to say you seem really calm about your in-law situation.... I thnk you are well within your right to move away and never speak to them again! Also with the name of the baby, that is down to you and hubby, no one else should expect to have a say in that matter! It's your baby!!!! Phew, I would be boiling! It seems all in-laws can be tricky, mine too, we have our good days and bad days....
I also put on a ton of weight with my DD, I think it was about 4.5 stone (we don't do Llbs/KG here) a LOT! It was horrible, I craved every bad food out there and it was a killer trying to shift the weight after, I'm still about half a stone over what I should be.... This time I really hope I can kick the cravings and stay healthy! I can't bare to get so big again ..... as I'm chewing on a carrot stick :-(
Well ladies I'm having a cuppa then going to bed.... Hope you all sleep well x

Wish4baby.. omg we sound a lot alike haha i am nauseous all day pretty much and carbs are the easiest way to stop it but i am trying really hard to limit the carbs thats how i gained 90lbs!!! and yea your in laws are totally overstepping!! You are a saint for dealing so well with them. i hope your dh recognizes that!

You too huh with the weight gain...maybe we can all encourage eachother to eat healthy! My doc doesnt worry about the weight says some people just gain more. i too had preeclampsia with my first when i gained so much with my second i paid closer attention to what i was eating and only gained 65 and no pre eclampsia so thats my goal this time toi!!!

Well off to work i go hope everyone has a good day!

And for dinner last night we had a chicken stir fry and to snack on today i have broccoli tomatoes strawberries blueberries and peaches!!! Oh and greek yogurt too :)

Kim

Hey all said I'd join in
I got my :bfp: a few days ago and well my second April baby on the way
DS may have just turned 1 when #2 arrives
Have sickness on and off and aches here and there and been light headed with a baby is not fun but roll on the next 9 months :crib:

Oh, yes, my friend had a beautiful baby girl wed night, at nearly midnight - a successful VBAC. She weighed 7lb 3oz, 19 in.

Congrats snowy, on your BFP!! That's so cool yours will be a year apart. My boys are also very close in age. Best thing we did!!!

So, I went shopping today!! While there, my little girl & I bought a baby blanket and a 2 pack of G Diapers (all gender neutral). It was too hard to resist :)

And, my husband and I decided we were not going to tell anyone the gender of the baby or the name we decide on!!! We have found the perfect names.

Been a great day - even though, if you can believe it, MORE in-law drama, OMG! DH's younger brother (who I went to high school with) told mutual friends that we were expecting - we didn't even know he knew! Then, I get Facebook congratulations by old HS friends....my whole family doesn't even know yet (and they are on FB)...we were going to wait a few more weeks before telling everyone...ugh! It never ends lol

Lets hope it's a sticky bean for me! At 6w 3 the tests are just about visible now they get fainter every 2 days or so
