dying fabric.

i have no idea where to start with this but i want to dye a few muslin cloths.

i know of the handwash dyes. would this be suitable? also do i need to buy a specific salt to mix with the dye?

I used that exact colour on some curtains, normal table salt works fine. I did mine in the machine though
