My son is 8 months old, he was premature so I pumped while he was in nicu for 9 weeks. He has been EBF for 6 months but has recently cut down majorly with his feeds. I know this is due to teething solids (he has three full meals a day and 1 snack, hv happy with his progress), but was still having morning and night feeds with me but he only wants his bedtime feed. I have tried to express in the morning but can only pump 1oz max. I have the medela swing but have also tried the medela mini and no difference.

Any ideas why I can't pump much milk?

Once your supply regulates it's pretty common not to be able to express much. Your body knows how much to make for LO, and doesn't make the excess it made in the early days. It's not an indication of your supply. It's just an inconvenience if you need to express-you'll have to combine the milk from a few sessions to get a decent amoubt

I found once my LO was over 7 or 8 months the amount I could get from pumping went WAY down  It used to really frusterate me!
