Hello everybody,
I've a question about remedies for eczema. Oscar's got it (both of his parents have it) and I've had to start using some hydrocortisone cream on his legs (only a little- i use it sparingly) because they're gotten quite bad and he get's really irritated and sore as a result. Apart from putting a damp face cloth on his legs before bed time and using some calendula cream, I really don't know what I should do next.
Do your lo's have it too? What natural remedies do you use?
Looking forward to your replies!!
Thanks for reading,
Fran

I'm not sure if it's ok for babies, but Dream Cream from Lush is pretty good on exzema. It's all natural stuff, so it should be fine though. I think I used some on B before, and she was fine with it.

I don't know about using it for babies, but witch hazel was great on mine when I was suffering. I used to add a few drops of lavender oil too - it was very soothing and cleared it up nicely.

There are a few types of eczema so it can depend. I have it and what halpe sme (not natural) is cuticura mildly medicated talcum powder  and sudacrem nappy creme.

I also think going to see a herbalist who specialises in baby eczema might be good. i remember seeing a BBC documentary with a two year old baby girl on it and she had been to every doctor and used every cream on the market and within two visits to this herbal cream specialist it cleared up!

Best of luck though! :hugs:

There's an aloe vera propolis cream from Forever Living which is meant to be very good for this, has aloe and bee propolis in it :D

Washing things using soapnuts is supposed to help a lot too, just to add. x

I have tried all sorts from prescription stuff, eye q and lush stuff none of it worked. The best by far we've managed with is elena's skin care (VERY expensive though!) and changing from soap powder to soapnuts really helped too.
