Eden or Ivy?

I'm not sure about Ivy and rose together as they are both plant/flowers?!
I'm having a similar dilemma as I'd like Violet or Iris but can't see them together as they're both flowers too :S

I prefer Eden because Ivy makes me think of poison ivy. But I see what you mean about Edie Beatty! I guess you could correct people who tried to shorten it. And probably it wouldn't happen a lot.

I love Eden...if Lucas was a girl I would have loved to name her Eden Ruth but OH wasn't too sure.

Thanks ladies. I think I am sticking with Eden although DH and I have also been considering Evelyn too now (but still leaning toward Eden).

Eden gets my vote Ivy reminds me of old ladies
if you call her eden then others will probably follow suit and call her eden and not edie as both of them are two syllabuls so not really a shortening more of a school ground nickname xx
