Egg retrieval tomorrow, how will I feel afterwards?

Hi everyone. I'm in the midst of my first IVF cycle and I have my egg retrieval scheduled for 7am tomorrow. The nerves are getting to me and Im wondering how I will feel after the procedure? Are you in pain after they take all the eggs out? Just wondering what experiences you may be able to share, thanks.

Hi there, i had my egg retrieval yesterday. I dont remember much about it to be honese due to the sedation!! I have felt a bit crampy and bloated since then, but nothing worse than period pain. I have endo, and my period pains are awful - so the cramps after ER were nothing like that. Hope it all goes well

It's just like lainey27 said I had a bit of cramping but not as bad as af cramps.

My ovaries really hurt afterwards, but they hurt before! Paracetamol and a hot water bottle on the day of harvest helped. Then not stretch up helped.

I had mine yesterday too. I felt crampy yesterday but actually more crampy today. A little bit of bleeding yesterday too. Good luck tomorrow!

Hi Janey, thanks so much for the good luck wishes! I am going in for ET later today - i know they are putting back 2 - so i hope they stick! I am feeling more than a bit nervous!
