Hiya I got diagnosed with endometriosis 2months ago through a laparoscopy and have alot of it removed (still have some in certain areas they could'nt get)
So trying to conceive naturally again for 6months, if i dont get pregnant in that time does anyone know what other options you have? Are the only options Ivf and IuI? Or is there other stuff they can do?

Thank you :flower:

Same with me... i was diagnosed with endo in Nov, 2010 thru a lap. had surgery bu were able to remove only about 80%. My bowels and uterus are still attached. I was told i would be good to concieve for 10 months. I started IUIs in May this year.....then again and again as you can see on my signature. Still no BFP to date. I have an apt for Oct to check up on my endo again. i decided if i get surgery again i would TTC asap!! I have read many success stories here about BFPs soon after a lap with surgery.

So i say to you, try now and keep trying. If your insurance covers IUI, then do it. Not painful and better prego chances.

My only other option is IVF and i wont consider that until sometime next year if my plans don't work out. At least it will give me time to save some serious cash.

good luck!:hugs:

Helo ladies, I was diagnosed about few weeks back. Stage IV, adhesions and endometriomas on both ovaries. I am due for a follow up appointment with the Consultant this Friday and will ask how much endo was removed and ect.

I have researched extensively over these few weeks after the diagnosis about the success rates after lap. I concluded that if you have your endo removed/excised, you have a better chance of conceiving because excising surgery is the only method to remove endo totally. Unfortunately a lot of us do not know we have this disease until after the lap so we are not able to make the right choice of going to have out lap done by the endo specialist.

So, a second surgery might be necessary if we are not able to conceive after couple of months and if endo returns.

I was given a clear to try naturally for 3 months and then clomid for 3 months then IVF. I think if I don't conceive after 6 months, I will have a scan to see whether the endo is back esp the endomeriomas. If it is, I am thinking of going for another surgery, this time by an endo specialist before going for IVF.

I know it is frustrating...

All the best

I fell pregnant after my first lap within 5 weeks and I lost but now I wanna try again and have had no luck for 5 months so maybe I have to get another Lap and hope for the best.

Best of Luck

I have excision of stage 3 and removal of chocolate cyst about a year ago. We have been trying for the past three cycles. DH is from Bulgaria and very interested in herbs and holisitc medicine. We just booked accupunture, herb and Chinese massage appointment. Anyone tried this route?

Not yet but i will be doing the accupuncture and Chinese herbs next month - my next lap appt is in Oct........ so I can TTC again in nov or dec.
Let me know how your treatments work for you.:hugs:

I'll keep you posted; we go on Monday! i hope you recover quickly from your LAP. Let's hope for BFPs in the fall for all of us!:dust:

Good luck! I'm British but live in Bulgaria by the way lol! :dust:

I had moderate endometriosis completely removed in November 2008 and naturally conceived my beautiful son 7 months later. Two years later, I conceived naturally again but sadly miscarried at 6 weeks but miraculously got pregnant straight away after that - again naturally.
A friend of mine (who actually gave me the inspiration to seek treatment), had a baby after her lap about 5 months before me but she has been trying for a year without success. It is likely she will need further surgery to conceive again so she is about to go down that route.
Apart from alternative therapies, IUI, IVF, ICSI are the only real options if natural conception doesn't happen for you. Another friend of mine in Aussie had a lap and then went on to conceive through IVF. She is currently on her 3rd treatment (2nd was sadly unsuccessful) and about to have her egg harvest on Monday!
So, what I'm trying to say is that it very much depends on your individual situation, how your endo affects your fertility, whether you want to try assisted conception etc etc
I really hope it works out for you hun x

ooh! Have you been there? We stayed in Kazanlak for a long weekend once. It was um quite nice, but kinda closed lol! (I think it was too early in the year). We bought some Rose liqueur which was rather nice though! Tell your hubby we live in Veliko Turnovo. It's gorgeous here! xxx

Hi ladies. :) I have stage I/II endometriosis. We're actually going to start TTC in a month or so, simply because my doctor told me that it'll be better earlier than later and we don't know how badly it will affect my fertility.

So hugs to my Endo sisters! I feel your pain (literally!).

Hi there. Welcome!!! :hugs:

I feel I wasted 1/2 a year after my lap surgery, all BFNs. So I will start from the beginning again. Lap, surgery, accupuncture, clomid......the works!

Hello,

I have stage four endo. Diagnosed by lap seven years ago.

I was told i'd never conceive and was to try straight away.

I had two laps for treatment and went through two lots of false menopauses over two years.

Five months after that i managed to conceive. But i had a great team helping me.

Since then i've been trying for a second.

I have a terrible consultant now and i'm really trying to get back to the one i had before. I feel like i've wasted two years + trying because this new gynae keeps saying to keep trying naturally without any intervention before i can be seen with the intention of conceiving with medical help (when the other specialist had a different view point and at least i was treating myself with hope.)

Every damn day is agony. Every cycle is a bfn.

:(

Good luck to you all xxx

I have endo too though I'm not sure what stage. Most was removed during a laproscopic hystoroctomy (sp?) 2 yrs ago. From what I've read, endo effects the egg quality as well as uterine receptivity. In one study eggs donated from women with endo fertilized at lower rates when implanted into non endo women. So there's something going on at several levels. I'm trying to make a more receptive uterine environment by following an endo diet.

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!
