How did you ladies cope? My lo is 4 months old and we just can't afford for me to stay home anymore.. The worst part is I'll be working in a daycare but not the one he is at because they don't have infant openings. I feel so guilty

It does get easier :hugs:

Can you be put on the waitlist for your daycare and move him when there is a spot open? It's not nice for him to get shifted but I'm sure he'd appreciate seeing your face a few times a day if he did move.

There aren't any openings for a year. :(he's just such a high needs baby it worries me.

Oh, that's a shame! And I'm sure they'll let you know first if anything changes.

Totally understandable that you're worried. He will be fine and will have lots of fun rolling around with other babies. As long as you are happy with the daycare facility. Try not to let the mummy guilt get to you! I know I struggled with that. Mine went into daycare at 6 months old (part time) and I found it very difficult. But I also like my job so I wanted to go back, which also made me feel guilty (because aren't you supposed to want to stay home with your kids). Sigh, there just isn't a right option sometimes.

My LO is supposed to start next month, at 4 mths. I'm not looking forward to it at all. :-(

My LO started this month full time and she loves it. I was really worried and hated that it needed to be done but she has a whale of a time

My LO was 12 months when he started, but I was so scared and anxious for months. Luckily, he did really well and he loves it. He struts in there every morning with a big grin and it's great. They also do all kinds of things I would never think to do with him at home, so he has good learning experiences. And I like that he gets exposed to other adults and babies. We love his daycare!

My LO is 6 months and just started. Don't feel guilty! Dd is pretty high needs (I think) but st nursery she's totally contented with all the activity/other babies etc. it's great for her and I enjoy work so - it's a win-win!

Don't feel guilty. At least your baby isn't in the separation anxiety phase yet. Mine was 12 months when we started to transition her in, and it was hard at first but now she likes it and comes home happy and hyper! I also think it's making her more comfortable around strangers than she was before. And I feel like I'm even more engaged when I'm with her after daycare. I'm not constantly wondering when I can get some work done.
