Errrr...I'm a bit confused

Hi, I had my 12 week scan yesterday at what I thought was 12 weeks and 5 days. They have said I'm actually 14 weeks but the first day of my last AF was 6th August. 14 weeks takes me back to a week before the last AF! Don't get me wrong I'm not worried or complaining (if anything I'm delighted to be further on than I thought) but can anyone explain why this is? I'm intrigued I think I had a 24 day cycle and ovulated on day 10, we BD'd on day 9, 10, 11.
Any thoughts?

Strange, was your last period a normal period for you? I am also adamant I conceived one date due to tracking ovulation but they put me 4 days ahead. I wondered if there is any chance baby can measure a little bigger than the norm? (Sorry I am not much help!)

Hi hun, first off congrats & great being further on than expected, Pregnancy is calculated 2 weeks before ovulation regardless of last AF date, so if you ovulated day 10 as you suspect then your 2 weeks starts 4 days before your AF, your only getting placed 3 days further ahead & scans can be out few days either way (I had fet transfer so know exact dates & my scan placed me 2 days further ahead) hope this makes sense xx

I know I wondered if baby could already measure big this early! I have normal cycles with normal bleeds, no intervention or treatments. I wonder if it means I ovulated really early? We did BD on day 7 I think too.
I also only did one digi and it was on what I thought was 4 weeks and 3 days and it was at 3+ which I suppose also ties in with the scan being 14 weeks! Baffled.

With DD1 I found out at my first scan that I conceived the day after a finished.
