Estradiol level cd5?

Hi all,

During my FS appointment they wanted to check for estradiol on cd2-4. I was cd5 at the time so they did it anyway.

I got the results and it was 245. All the info here I can find for cd2-4 suggests that this is high but the fertility nurse who gave me the results said this was fine.

Im quite confused (and worried) now. Can anyone help?

Where are you Fluffy - as that will determine which meassuerment value is used. If you are in the US - you are looking ion the right place, but if you are in the UK or Canada then a different measurement is used.

On CD5 your E2 level should be slightly higher than on CD2 or 3.

Just looked at your blog, and see you are in the UK. Your E2 level shoudl be between 200 and 500 pmol/l - which it is - so your nurse is correct! No need to worry or be confused.

The conversion from pg/ml to pmol/L is to multiple by 3.67 - so 245 pmol/L is 66.76pg/ml

On my laptop at home I have the NHS reference ranges bookmarked - but can't find them just now (at work)

I think they like to see under 300pmol/l, so you are just fine.

Leilani - if you come acros the NHS reference levels I would love to see them. I sometimes find the NHS pages difficult to navigate!

I came here 12 years ago - just for a year or two - and never made it back (other than for holidays!)
