Evaporation line within 10 minutes?

Hello hello,

I'm currently 11dpo, TTC after a loss in October.

I never normally test early...didn't test my BFP until 21dpo last time!

Couldn't help myself this morning so I tested using a pink dye Blue Cross.

On the packet it says read results after 5 minutes. On their website it says read results after 5 minutes, disregard after 10 minutes.

Well there was no line within 5 minutes but there was a line within 10 minutes.

Could it be an evaporation line within 10 minutes? I squeezed the stick and it was still damp....

I can see the line with naked eye as can my Mum...and I can see it when I invert it to negative.

So...evaporation line within 10 minutes?

It's hard to say without seeing it. I tested with my last baby at 9dpo with CB +- and got a super faint cross after the time limit which later vanished. I tested with a FRER two days later and got a much clearer result. Personally, I have never had an evap on any pregnancy test I've taken, but lots of woman do. I really hope this is the start for you as know how stressful ttc after a loss is. Xxx

I think evaporation lines only happen when the test is dry. Does the line have any colour to it? x

Yeah line is faint pink. So scared to test again tomorrow!!

I'm having the same thing happen to me. I just recently had a tubal reversal surgery and since then i have taken 3 pregnancy tests. all three of them have had a very faint positive. i am still 2 days before my period is due. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. lol but i can't help it. I'm seeing the lines 4-7 minutes after taking the tests so i know it can't be evaporations line since the tests are still damp feeling.

Could it be that you naturally have a small amount of hcg in your body? Some women, especially after a certain number of births, miscarriages or just because, have a small number of hcg in their system. And this makes it that they always have a faint line on some tests.

I've seen it happen to at least 3 women here. Maybe see if you can get a blood test done and see if you have any number of hcg in your blood?
