When did you ladies start excercising again? I went to the gym alot before having the LO and was pretty active, it has been 2 weeks since I had oliver, and was wondering what I can do and when. I have been walking but wasnt sure when I can sit ups and start toning the wobbly bits!!!

I started doing sit ups ater my 6 week checkup, I try and go for regular walks with the pushchair too.

I also do some toning during the day when I can. I've brought a exercise dvd that has 10 minute workouts, which are great when LOs having a nap! xx
 
Serious gym classes - six months. But I had breast surgery when the boys were 9 weeks old so probably would have been sooner. I had a year off in the end as couldnt exercise from 3 months into pregnancy (bleeding, twins, higher risk etc)

I gained 5.5stone and still have 2 stone to lose AARRGGHHHHH
 
I started slowly, for the first 3 months I just went for long walks with the pram because
1. I couldn't face any other exercise
2. I still wasn't in a routine and couldn't get organised enough in the morning to get to the gym
3. I was still stiff and sore

About 4 months I started back at the gym. Got a training plan sorted and increased my exercise at the gym slowly.

I was told that I shouldn't do sit up's after the birth as a first exercise because you are only toning the fat iykwim. I was told to do exercise to burn the fat and lose weight first before doing sit ups to tone my tummy. Thats just my situation though as I only had excess fat around my belly after the birth

Still got a load to lose but getting there :thumbup:
 
I teach Pole for a living and have been back on the pole since 6 weeks, but taking it extra easy as I had a C section
 
I was back playing hockey at 5 weeks after getting the OK at my 4 week checkup. I was going for walks with Gabriel before that.
 
uhhhhh I just started working out, biking and walking and now I'm pregnant again so no sit ups for me. I'll wait six weeks after I have the baby in May to ton my tummy up working hard to keep my butt and legs slimmed as I'm still fat from the last pregnancy :)
