I am wondering what is everyone's exercise regime when TTC? I actually should lose ~10lbs to be at the "normal" BMI given by all those website calculators, so I'm in the process of losing at least 5-8lbs. I'm going to the gym to run, zumba, and yoga because I like them all. I exercise pretty moderately-to high intensity sometimes. I checked my heart rate the other day and it was 173, which is in the high zone for my age. But I felt great when I was dripping in sweat! Even though 10lbs over isn't stopping me from BD and I'm not very worried about it, but I just NEED to exercise or my muscles get achy and I feel like a big lump of nothing if I'm not active. I prefer to run/jog at the least. Is this wise?

I know exercise is limited when one is pregnant but never heard anything when TTC. How do you maintain and keep off your weight?

I have actually heard that daily exercise is good while TTC...it can actually help your fertility! I run 6 days a week and sometimes do yoga, spin or strength (rarely LOL need to work on that one). Exercise is also recommended during pregnancy, it can help with morning sickness and constipation and even make labor easier! Generally the rule is that you can continue what you were doing before pregnancy but not start anything new (as long as your doctor approves...there may be special cases where it isnt recommended. Anyway keep up the good work!

I could stand to lose a good 50lbs...my OH laughs at me when I say this because I'm tall and carry it well...but I think to be healthy I need to.

Unfortunately since we started TTC I have gained about 20lbs of that 50lbs....and working out is hard for me because of my long commute and very long days.

Regardless, I try and get on my elliptical at least twice a week for 30 min, and on the weekends I swim laps for an hour.

I wish I had time/energy for more....but I just don't right now :(
