expressing help

i want to give my daughter one expressed bottle per day so she gets used to breast and bottle. I can express just over 3 oz from one boob then move over to the other to get another 3 oz which means my boobs are empty. I always try to express when she is sleeping to give them chance to fill back up again, but the little madam always wakes not long after then i have to give her the bottle as i have no milk. I want to give her the botle before bedtime so do you think it would be ok to feed her off my boob then express out what is left and put it in the fridge and continue to do this after each feed and add the milk collected to the bottle in the fridge

Yeah that's the best thing to do. This also means that you will be getting the hinde milk and it will satisfy her. Remember you can freeze breastmilk, buy the sterile breastmilk bags and remember to time and date them and pop them in the freezer. Defrost in the fridge before you need them. This is great because you can express small amounts and add them together once defrosted and none goes to waste.
