I love that my boys, even though younger saw Hayden nurse. To them it's completely normal....when my friends baby was over and I gave her a bottle they were both questioning it asking why would I dothat, they should have boobs haha. They thought the same about the diapers too "why is she wearing PAPER diapers?!?!" with this disgusted like tone lol. It was actually pretty funny. But I do love that they think it's normal, if you ask them how a baby eats, they would say they nurse.

We live in such a strong bottle feeding culture it's understandable that children dont always think of boobs as babies food source. I mean Emily loved dollys but they all had a bottle so it's in grained very early on. I wont be letting Hebe give bottles to her babies - I'll show her to nurse them! My friends little girls stick them up their jumpers!! It' so funny!!

I breastfeed Jasmine wherever we are, if thats in a cafe so be it, if its in a bus stop or car park so be it!

I don't mind so much in a Cafe, or somewhere I can sit out of the way, but I don't think I could whack them out just anywhere

I always breastfeed as and when needed. I am however very discreet and would be mortified if anyone saw my breast.

I fed Lauren till she was 12months, Abi till about 14-15months and Toby for 9months but stopped coz I was pregnant with Erin (Smudge) and was getting severe cramps everytime I fed him

I intend on feeding Erin for at least a year, maybe a year and a half. I think it can be hard for us mothers to stop after that....sort of letting your baby grow up IYKWIM?

That's why I cant understand you being bothered about feeding in public now she's older - you're both such a dab hand I bet no one ever notices!

I hit the 6 month mark tomorrow and i am going to keep going for as long as he wants to i LOVE it!
I still bfeed in public and i would soon stick up for myself if anyone dared say anything about it too. I sometimes wonder what can actually be enforced about feeding in public in the uk as its illegal after the baby is 6 months right?
I would like to see a PO stop me from feeding

No I think it's only illegal if you're asked to stop but don't? Not sure though

Surely no one in their right mind is going to ask a breastfeeding mum to stop feeding their baby?
I suppose maybe once the baby is 6 months they can ask you not to feed in resterants etc? Though to be honest i still think they would have to have some bloody audacity to even ask that!

Wow it's really illegal? Here it's legal anywhere that a baby is allowed to be they are allowed to nurse. Yet there are still situations where people have been asked to go to the bathroom, or leave stores when they were nursing, it's never happened to me but I've heard of it happening quite a bit. Sometimes I see things about where someone was kicked out of a restaurant so they will get on a forum with other moms intheir area and plan a "nurse-in" where lots of moms will how up at that place nursing their babies lol

it is not illegal at all.. it is the law that a woman can feed her baby in public and should nt be asked not to as far as i am aware. where did you get that it was illegal?

That is the law up to when they are 6 months old, after that it is illegal
