Factor 5

Hi, I was diagnosed with factor 5 heterozygous clotting disorder right before I got pregnant. At age 35 this and the disorder makes me high risk. I'm in my early first trimester. Just looking to connect with any other moms that might have this as well. Lucky us, we are an exclusive group as my MD said only 3% of women have this.

I have factor V and a strain of MTHFR. At week 12 I started injecting Lovenox daily. I'm also on a baby aspirin, and take a prescribed vitamin (metanx) because of the blood disorders.

At first I was terrified, because we had lost two babies in a year. Now at 23 weeks I'm doing fine. We already have three little ones, so I am pretty busy and am definitely feeling my age!

I'd do some research on the disorder if I were you. It answered a lot of questions for me! Good luck!
