Failed cycle 'review appt' tomorrow

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been away for a few weeks since my BFN & now selfishly look for advice... I promise I've been regularly stalking. x

Got my review appointment tomorrow - got a feeling it's going to be a massive 'stating the obvious' exercise.

Any idea's on what questions to ask? I know my mind will go blank, so I want to have a few written down.

Thanks in advance & I promise I'll come back on soon to offer up a bit of support to those of you going through it now.

...From a moving forward point of view, we have a consultation with a private clinic at the end of March & we're just deciding if I want to do IVF#2 in May or wait until I'm back from my hollibops in July (DH is easy either way).

My CD3 & 21's are out of date for the next cycle, so had my CD21 taken today & CD3 next week - hope they're ok,wondering if IVF will have taken its toll on my poor ovaries :/

Been thinking about you teapot.

I asked mostly questions about my next cycle at my follow up from my failed cycle.

I did ask the obvious - Why do they think the cycle failed?

Should I switch to different stims? Or different doses?

Did they think I had poor egg quality?

Did the stims affect my egg quality?

Should I take vitamins or something (metformin etc.) to improve my egg quality?

Should I DR for longer/shorter?

Should I go on bcp before DR - since I am a late ovulator?

How many would you put back next time?

Should I be tested for natural killer cells?

Should I take baby aspirin?

Should I be on steroids (natural killer cells)?

Are there other tests that I should have done before I do another cycle?



Sorry I can't think of anything else that I asked. If I think of more I will add them.

Thank you for the reply chick, some of those are definitely useful (& the late Ov thing has intrigued me, as I never ov'd naturally before CD17/18).

It's amazing you're almost 14 weeks already! I love your ticker - baby is forming little teeth & vocal chords - how cute is that!

Hey teapot

I noticed in ur ticker that u had 2 eggs. I think u might like to ask ur doc if a different protocol might help. Short protocol (Antagonistic) is supposed to give much better response. Other than that I think Blue has covered pretty much everything. I agree that u should ask if adding some meds (like baby asprin and immune suppressant could help.
