Hi,

I found out last week that I am pregnant but the line of my pregnancy test was very faint at 15 and 16 DPO. I then took a clearblue test at 18 DPO and it said 1-2 weeks when it should have told me 2-3 so I'm very confused now. I also had a little bit of spotting at 13-14 DPO. Could that still be impantation bleeding.

I'm so scared as I had a mmc in August at 10 weeks and I get the feeling it happens again now. Has anyone any experiences with faint pregancy tests and had a healthy pregnancy inspite? I'm so scared that my levels are not rising properly. I don't think I can go through this all again.

Thank you

How do you know your O date - were you temping or guessing?

Hi,

I use the Clearblue fertility monitor so it should be pretty accurate I think

I've never used CBFM so maybe someone else here can say how accurate they found it. As far as I was aware temping was the ONLY way to def say what day you o'd but like I say I have no experience with CBFM. It could be that you O'd later than you thought, it could be your levels are rising slightly slower it could be that your MC [although I hope you're not]

Hey x try not to panic, you might just have implanted a bit later or it might be taking a bit longer for the hcg to find it's way into your urine - some women don't get a positive for absolutely ages do they! And if you're only 18dpo you're only really two and a half weeks - those digi things aren't THAT accurate so I think it's perfectly reasonable for it to still be saying 1-2 weeks at that stage anyway! Have you seen the countdown to pregnancy website? It's got loads of stats on pregnancy test results for different brands and you can see how many women get a faint bfp on each brand at each dpo - amazing!! ...Hope it's all ok for you :hugs: :hugs: xxx

I don't want to be Debbie Downer here, but that is how my chemical started/ended in July 2009. At 10DPO, tests were clear BFNs. 14DPO, the line was super super light. Did a digi which came back pregnant (before conception indicator ones). Did another FRER 15DPO, and the line was a bit darker, but still quite light for being 15DPO. The second batch of FRERs was a 2 pack, so I retested the next morning, and it had gotten lighter still. Took another FRER later that day (with concentrated urine) and the test line was super light.

Blood work showed at 16, which was a chemical; it never rose above that.

That being said, you don't know when you ovulated, so it could have been late, and also it could be a slow riser. So don't give up all hopes yet.

Thank you for your replies. It really helps to talk about this and get different views. I took another clearblue digital test and it now says 2-3 weeks at 5 weeks since my pperiod. So my levels are rising but I don't know whether they are rising high enough. Has anybody had this before?

Cheers

with my first pregnancy i didn't get a bfp until 14dpo, and it was SOOOO faint, never got above a 1-2 on a digi either. hospital did a test which was faint also but my blood levels came back at nearly 4000. shes 4 months old now xxx

i done a clearblue test when i was 6 weeks roughly it said 3+ so i should of been 5 weeks, then went for a scan the following week and i was 7 weeks so you cant always rely on the conception indicators xx
