faint line within 2 mins then disappeared after 7 mins?

i took an ovulation test at the same time i took a cheapie hpt. the ovulaton test first though, and it was negative. i thought what the hell lets just use one of my many cheapies from the bundle i bought.. so i did and the faint line came up within 2 minutes. it looked a bit fainter than the ovulation test. the test dried and then the positive line started to disappear after about 7 minutes. what in the world?

btw i started minipill last wednesday so i havent even been on it for a week.

I would keep testing. You could be early or it was a dud test.

Just to let you know, never dip an ovulation test before a pregnancy test. It's known to cause false positives on pregnancy tests.

Just so you know since it's caused a lot of heartaches to some women ttc who were convinced they were pregnant.

I've noticed with some tests that as the pee passes over the testing area the dye seems to settle there for a few minutes but then once the test is "done" developing then it shows the true outcome. I think that's why they don't recommend "reading" the test until the time they indicate [some brands it's 10 minutes, some 5 minutes].

I'd wait a day or two and test again, though. Just in case!
