Faint positive line on pregnancy test

Not had another negative. Still trying to get hold of midwife no one answering the phone left msg but no call back. Does anyone no what happens at 1st appoint with midwife.

You won't get it til your about 8 weeks.

So your tests should be really positive by now then.

right ok. I rang my doctors for an appointment to confirm the test and they just said ring the midwife we dont deal with it you have to go see a midwife. I rang yesterday left a message but no call back as yet. Tried again an hour ago just rings and goes to answerphone. so guess just a waiting game now.

Yeah they never answer it's always a message service, depending on where you are your first appointment will be between 8 and 12 weeks.

Did the doctor offer any explanation for getting just o e positive then negatives since?

doctor said maybe i am only just pregnant and the 2nd test urine wasnt as strong to detect the hcg. I just hate the waiting. I want to tell family but dont want to just incase. would be nice to no for definate before christmas.

I know you used first morning urine for your positives, but were you testing with less concentrated urine when you got negatives?

For most women, first morning urine has the highest concentration of HCG so in early pregnancy they may get a positive test with that and then a negative test if they try again later in the day with less concentrated urine x

I used an afternoon urine so it was less concentrated thats why I think it was negative. But the pics I have posted on here was from 1st morning urine. X

That explains it then You're probably just very early and your morning urine probably had a high enough concentration to give you the faint line, but your afternoon urine too diluted and gave you a negative.

Have you tested again since you shared the last pic with us? Are the lines darker yet?

If you're still nervous you could try a First Response or a Digital and see if they're more obvious for you

i did another test 1st thing this morning was a ASDA own test and again a faint line slightly darker. I will just have to wait for the midwife to get in touch with me. glad other people can see the lines and it not just me.

If your BFP is getting darker then it sounds very promising, try not to worry (easier said than done I know) x

Just spoke to midwife. Got an appointment in january 2nd. And pick pregnancy pack up tomorrow. I expected a blood test to definitely confirm before an appointment was made.

If you're feeling nervous still u should buy a digital test today. Seeing the word pregnant should help you to feel a bit more certain about things! I used those asda tests and my lines looked like that around 4 wks, so right at the beginning when I first found out. I found those tests were great for seeing a progression in the line getting darker each day. Congratulations x

I have shown the pregnancy test to the midwife when I went to pick up my pregnancy pack and she said it's positive. So I fewl happier now. X
